2009 Sales Awards Recognition
Each year the Chicago Association of REALTORS® honors the outstanding listing and selling accomplishments of our members with the annual Sales Awards Recognition. Awards are given in the categories of residential volume, residential units, and units and volume by neighborhood.
This recognition gives C.A.R. members the opportunity to celebrate success and, more importantly, to demonstrate the power of cooperation that exists in the Chicagoland real estate market.
Be Recognized for Your Achievements
Top producers will be featured in a special section of the of Chicago REALTOR® Magazine and receive certificates sent via U.S. postal mail at the end of June 2010.
Verify Your Closed Listings and Sales!
Ensure that you receive the credit you deserve for your 2009 sales transactions at our Sales Awards Celebration! See below for instructions on how to verify your transaction data.
Verification Deadline – January 3, 2010.
To Verify Closed Listings & Sales
- Log in to connectMLS;
- Click on the Search tab. Be sure the Search Type is General MLS and Property Type is Cross Property (All;)
- Change Status selection to CLSD. Unselect all other statuses;
- Click on Add/Remove Fields;
- Add Closed Date and Listing Agent ID fields; click OK;
- Enter a Closed Date range beginning 01/01/2009, ending 12/31/2009;
- Enter your Agent ID number in Listing Agent IDs;
- Click on View Results. This should display all the transactions through which you were the listing agent. Review these results to make sure you have marked all your listings as closed properly. Continue…
- Repeat steps 2-4;
- Add Closed Date and Selling Agent ID fields; click OK;
- Enter a Closed Date range beginning 01/01/2009, ending 12/31/2009;
- Enter your Agent ID number in Selling Agent ID;
- Click on View Results. This should display all the transactions through which you were the selling agent. Review these results to make sure other agents have marked all of your sales properly.
What if a Transaction is Not Showing Up?
The most common problem with a transaction not showing correctly is the listing company did not list the selling agent and left themselves as both listing and selling agent. If this occurs, here are the steps to follow to have it corrected:
The selling agent should contact the listing agent and ask that the correction to be made. If the listing agent refuses to make the corrections:
- The managing broker of the selling office should contact the listing office managing broker and request the changes to be made. If there is still no response
- Contact MRED’s Rules & Regulations Department at 630-955-0011, and request a form to report the company.
